Week 42 at the MCS

Week 42 was an interesting week with the claim of the Union of the Republics of Zeed first being presented. The Euran nation, which was founded during the September Revolution by the micronationalist formerly known as Nick claims a sizable amount of pixels. The nation heavily borrows from Babkhan lore and might be considered a spiritual successor to that nation.

Another relic from the past that has resurfaced is Ric’s Hurmu, which was presented in Week 41 but has been brought to a vote on Monday of this week. Only one councilor has so far voted on the claim, with both Ric and Craitman abstaining from voting because of their interests in the nation. The nation was previously famous for the Hurmu Gate, but that is safely locked up in Jingdao.

A massive expansion of Alduria-Wechua was claimed last Sunday and accepted on the next Monday. The nation, which is under the control of Edgard claimed almost all of Lyrica, an island previously held by Stormark and also the location of the aforementioned Hurmu.

Quaint was a complaint that was issued with the MCS by Husky Man, also known as King Matthew the First of Barnum. He was upset that the Ultimate Sultanate of Sylvania was located close to the borders of Barnum’s reservation. No further action was taken based on the complaint.

Our own republic played a minor role in week 42. Just over a week ago, President Ase Wittenduin presented to the MCS an updated map of the republic’s cities. As this was considered merely an internal claim, it did not have to be voted upon and will be included in the next map update.
